I want you to know a little about my life, the person who paints these paintings and murals. My name is Rebeca Morales. Since I was a child, I loved art. I knew it would be my refuge and my voice. I remember when I was 4 years old, and on the wall of my parents’ room, there was a cat, the famous Garfield. I said to myself, «I want to do the same.» From then on, I started drawing. Years went by. At that time, my parents never put me in any classes; I learned everything on my own. Life wasn’t easy; being a mother from an early age, my father passed away, my mother moved to another country. I had to make my way alone, facing challenges, with no way to survive. I saw my opportunity when I entered the INA (National Institute of Statistics) at 19, who supported me to become a graphic designer. I put art aside to support my son. And I resumed my path again at 33. With a brush in hand and a heart full of dreams, I transformed my talent into a purpose. I would capture every stroke on my canvases. More than seven years ago, I turned my passion into a profession, taking art beyond paintings to fill public spaces with color. My work with the San Sebastián Public Forces, and at the time with Deputy Minister Eduardo Solano, allowed me to create murals in community parks, turning them into places of expression and encounter. My works, inspired by nature, fantasy, and the human figure, not only decorate, but also tell stories, awaken emotions, and leave a mark on those who view them.

But art is not my only domain. As I mentioned before, for more than 18 years, I have developed a solid career in design, digital marketing, and printing, merging creativity and strategy to bring impactful visual projects to life.

Today, with a journey filled with experiences, challenges, and triumphs, I am preparing to take a new step: sharing my legacy through a catalog that brings together the best of my works. Because art is not just what is painted, but what is transmitted and what is left in the souls of those who contemplate it.
